Student Visa Requirements for International Students

For most international students planning to undertake full-time studies in the UK for more than six months, obtaining a student visa is essential. The visa application process uses a points-based system, with 70 points required for approval.

50 points: Granted for securing a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the University.

10 points: Awarded for providing a bank statement to demonstrate sufficient funds, known as maintenance funds.

10 points: : Given for proving English language proficiency, such as achieving an IELTS score of 5.5 or providing equivalent proof.

Required Documentation

Funding Requirements: Students must show they have sufficient financial resources. This means maintaining the required amount of funds in their bank account for a continuous 28-day period.
